"Managed Fast Ethernet switch EDS 405A-T is an improved version of the basic model of intelligent switches. It helps to integrate various devices into Ethernet network with comprehensive network management over SNMP protocol. There are 5 10/100 Mbit/s ports. The technology developed by MOXA facilitates construction of industrial network with flexible topology. The switch is protected from shocks, vibrations, and electromagnetic exposure and is capable of operation at extreme temperatures from -40 to +75 °C. EDS 405A-T switch: description and features: The device complies with IPv6 industrial standard requirements. The model supports over 20 protocols, including: GVRP, IEEE 802.1Q VLAN, QoS IEEE 802.1p/1Q and TOS/DiffServ – for traffic prioritizing and network planning facilitation. There is a restricted bandwidth for overload protection. The device sends an auto message about failures via email, or over a relay channel. The switch is housed in a fanless chassis and is capable of stable operation at temperatures up to +75 °C. There is power redundancy. The device consumes only 0.24 A at 24 V, power capacity – 5.76 W. The metal housing is well protected (IP30) and can be mounted on a DIN-rail or a wall. Mean time between failures – around 44 years.
