The device houses 5 ports, 2 of which refer to 100 Base FX type, have a modern SC slot and are provided for data transmission at great distances using single-mode optical fiber. The model allows not only integrating terminal devices and intermediate servers into industrial Fast Ethernet networks, but also managing them. The unique Turbo Ring, Turbo Chain redundancy protocols provide minimum recovery time (under 20 ms for a network of 250 switches) and several ring topologies. The device is protected by a fanless industrial grade housing (54х135х105) and is equipped with a dual power input and a relay output for alarm notifications. The optical ports of EDS-405A-SS-SC industrial switch are often used for remote devices connection, creation of redundancy rings and integration of separate network segments.
