Rugged Ethernet Switch with 2x SFP, 2x EoVDSL, 6x GbE RJ45 LAN, wide temperature range, robust design
With native support for fiber via SFP Gigabit, CAT5/CAT6 Ethernet LAN cables, and EoVDSL for long-distance communication over existing lines, the RUGGEDCOM RSL910 Ethernet switch offers optimal conditions for implementing heterogeneous IT infrastructures with local subnets across wide distances.
The RUGGEDCOM RSL910 is a fanless rugged Ethernet switch that functions as a universal IT gateway in spatially distributed networks. To this end, the RSL910 features two SFP uplink ports for optical data transmission and six RJ45 LAN interfaces for electromagnetic transmission within local networks. In addition, the rugged Ethernet switch provides two further EoVDSL ports, allowing multiple RSL910 units or other DSL modems to be networked via simple, thin lines, such as pre-installed telephone or signal cables. Technically, this method enables a maximum bandwidth of 140 Mbps over distances of up to three kilometers.
For configuration and administration, the RUGGEDCOM RSL910 offers a USB console interface and a serial COM RS232 port as a failsafe relay connection. The housing is a robust stainless-steel rugged enclosure that also functions as an efficient heatsink for the fanless embedded switch, enabling operation in a very wide temperature range from -40° Celsius to +85° Celsius. Power can be supplied either via mains voltage at 100 – 240 VAC or VDC, in the medium range from 36 VDC to 72 VDC, or via local low voltage between 10 VDC and 36 VDC.
