tGW-735i Tiny Modbus Gateway with 32 Bit ARM CPU, 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet LAN, 3x RS485 Serial COM, PoE, Modbus, Webinterface The tGW-735i is a compact Tiny Modbus Gateway that supports TCP and ASCII as a Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) to enable communication in automated and actively monitored SCADA systems and to allow monitoring or control from a remote embedded PC or server. The Modbus Gateway tGW-735i is equipped with a powerful 32-bit ARM MCU as microcontroller, which has low power consumption with high performance. For maximum fail-safety, the module uses two independently operating watchdogs, one monitoring the CPU and the other the software, to automatically trigger a reset and restore a working state in the event of a malfunction. As its primary task, the RTU converts TCP to ASCII and vice versa so that secure communication can be established with remote hardware such as sensors, circuits and actuators. Communication with the control server is done via 10/100Mbps LAN, which also provides power over Ethernet (PoE). Three serial ports in RS485 with a maximum bandwidth of 115200bps or a master-slave configuration through the Modbus protocol serve as output.
