Network switch EDS-G205A-4Poe is a compact unmanaged industrial switch with numerous features and abilities. The surprising design solutions grant a user a bunch of advantages. Firstly, the device width is 29 mm only, so that the spatial factor can be neglected when designing complex industrial networks. Secondly, despite its size, the switch houses 5 Gigabit combined ports of 10/100/1000 Base TX standard. Thirdly, 4 out of 5 ports are provided with Power Over Ethernet function. MOXA’s switch EDS-G205A-4POE: description and features: The device supports wide range of IEEE standards, including as follows: 802.3Ab for a Gigabit signal over a twisted pair, 802.3x Flow Control for full-duplex communication, 802.3z for fiber optical communication (SX/LX/LHX/ZX). IEEE 802.3 af/at provide a more powerful POE function. The switch is capable of supplying power to terminal devices over an Ethernet cable with the power of 30 W per each channel (120 W in total). The device is certified in accordance with UL 508 standard. Despite its compact size and a fanless design, the device ensures stable operation at high temperatures (up to 60 °С), thanks to the elaborate system of cooling fins. There is a dual power input and reverse polarity protection. The metal chassis that corresponds to IP30 class protects the electronic units from dust, moisture, shocks and vibrations, electrostatic discharges and impulse interference. As a result, the network switch EDS-G205A-4POE has become very popular and represents the most attractive solution within a segment of unmanaged switches. Powerful high-speed ports conform to the requirements to a network of any complexity, whereas a POE function will supply power-hungry terminal devices in case when it is impossible or economically unviable to do so (heated IP cameras, remote highly-effecient access points, secured blocks of IP telephony). Moreover, the device reliability is testified by multiple certificates that ensure its safe application in harsh industrial conditions, at relatively low price.
