Managed switch EDS-518A-MM-SC designed by MOXA is a perfect solution for creating complex industrial Fast Ethernet networks. The device houses 14 10/100 BaseT Ethernet ports, 2 10/100 BaseFX ports (multi-mode optical fiber, SC slot, data transfer distance up to 5 km) and 2 10/100/1000 Base combo ports (RJ-45 + SFP). The switch supports intelligent functions of management, control and enhanced network security. The basic model reliability is confirmed by mean time between failures that exceeds 40 years. MOXA’s 18-port network Ethernet switch EDS-518A-MM-SC: description and features: SNMP v1/v2/3 and RMON protocols ensure safe remote management on different layers, as well as pro-active monitoring. Integrated protocols TACACS+, IEEE 802.1X, HTTPS, SSH help to perform user authentication and encryption, in order to protect data. The device supports the following intelligent functions: IGMP and GMRP (multicast traffic filtration), VLAN and GVRP (facilitated planning), QoS (prioritizing), LACP (flexible network connections). All necessary software protection functions are provided: restricted bandwidth, port mirroring for status diagnostics and a discrete output relay channel for alerting a user. The fanless metal housing that rates IP30 protects the electronic components from solid particles ingress, shocks and vibrations (МЭК-60068/IEC-60068). The device is available in wall and DIN-rail mounting configurations. Taking into account its opportunities, the device can be characterized by high power supply efficiency and consumes 12.24 W (0.5 A at 24 V). The redundant power circuit secures uninterruptible operation. Thanks to multiple ports and 2 Gigabit ports, Ethernet switch EDS-518A-MM-SC from MOXA can play the main role in any industrial network. The device features high level of protection, whereas, the field-specific certificates (DNV, GL, NK, Class I Div. 2, ATEX Zone 2) allow you to use this switch on transport, in marine industry, in explosion hazardous environment of oil and gas industry.
