The new Axiomtek tBOX210 is a fanless embedded computer for railway NVR, onboard video surveillance and data acquisition in rolling stock. The EN 50155-certified platform supports 14th, 13th and 12th Gen Intel Core i9/i7/i5/i3 or Celeron processors with a CPU TDP of up to 35 W.
Based on the Intel Q670E chipset with an LGA1700 socket, the tBOX210 supports up to 32 GB DDR5 memory and integrates TPM 2.0 for hardware-based security.
M12 2.5GbE Connectivity for IP Cameras
Four M12 X-coded 2.5GbE ports provide high-bandwidth connections for IP cameras, complemented by an additional 2.5GbE RJ45 port. This interface configuration makes the tBOX210 suitable as a Network Video Recorder (NVR) for onboard video surveillance.
Additional interfaces include two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, HDMI and isolated digital I/O.
RAID Storage for NVR Applications
The tBOX210-RLS-MR supports two removable 2.5-inch SATA drives with RAID 0/1. The tBOX210-RLS-MR2 provides four SATA drives with RAID 0/1/5/10. An M.2 Key M 2280 slot is available for NVMe storage.
5G/LTE and Wi-Fi 6 Expansion
Wireless expansion includes M.2 Key B 3052 for 5G/LTE and M.2 Key E 2230 for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth. A full-size PCI Express Mini Card slot and two Nano SIM slots provide further configuration options.
Fanless Design for Railway Environments
The fanless tBOX210 features an IP30-rated aluminum and heavy-duty steel enclosure and is specified for operation from −40 to +70 °C with wide-temperature peripherals.
A wide 24 to 110 VDC input via an M12 connector supports onboard power requirements, while Smart Ignition provides power management for vehicle integration.
The tBOX210 is certified to EN 50155 and EN 45545-2. It is also compliant with MIL-STD-810G Method 514.6C-VI Category 4 for vibration and meets EN 61373 Category 1 Class B requirements for shock and vibration. NFPA 130 certification is also specified.
The tBOX210 combines current Intel Core processor support, M12 connectivity, RAID storage and railway-specific environmental specifications in a compact platform for NVR and video surveillance in trains, metro vehicles and other rolling stock.
