Winmate WNAI-E800 Series: GPU-Ready Industrial Edge AI Box PCs
Winmate has introduced the WNAI-E800 Series, a two-model family of GPU-ready industrial edge AI box PCs designed to bring high-performance centralized inference to the edge. Built on Intel 14th Generation Core processors paired with discrete NVIDIA RTX GPUs, the series addresses demanding workloads — from multi-camera vision servers and industrial inspection systems to robotics controllers and AI gateways — while maintaining the ruggedness and wide operating temperature range required for factory and field deployment. The two variants, WNAI-E800S and WNAI-E800L, share the same compute platform but differ in chassis size, power architecture, and maximum GPU thermal headroom.
Series Overview
Both models in the WNAI-E800 Series are built around the Intel R680E chipset with support for 14th Generation Intel Core i7-14700T (default, up to 5.2 GHz) and Core i9-14900T (optional, up to 5.5 GHz) processors. A PCIe x16 slot accepts a single full-height NVIDIA RTX GPU, enabling real-time inference at the data source and eliminating the latency and bandwidth costs of centralized cloud processing. Three Intel 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports provide sufficient network throughput for simultaneous multi-stream camera ingestion and upstream data forwarding.
Memory is handled by two 262-pin DDR5 SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 96 GB (48 GB per slot, non-ECC), giving the platform sufficient capacity for large model checkpoints and high-throughput frame buffers. Storage starts with a built-in NVMe SSD (128 GB default, configurable to 4 TB) and optionally expands with two SATA III bays for 2.5-inch SSD or HDD in a RAID configuration. Both models carry CE and FCC certifications and are rated for −20 °C to +60 °C operation.

WNAI-E800S — Compact Chassis with DC Power Input
The WNAI-E800S occupies the more compact chassis at 360 × 170 × 196 mm, making it the preferred choice when installation space is constrained or when mounting in a panel, cabinet, or vehicle. Its distinguishing hardware feature is the DC power input: a 3+4 pin terminal block accepting 8–48 V DC at up to 1000 W, which is directly compatible with 12 V, 24 V, and 48 V vehicle and industrial power buses without requiring an AC inverter or UPS. This makes the WNAI-E800S particularly relevant for mobile inspection platforms, autonomous vehicles, and field-deployed AI gateways.
The PCIe x16 slot (16 lanes) accommodates NVIDIA RTX GPUs including the RTX 5080 and RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell, with a 1000 W envelope that covers the full TDP of high-performance single-slot and dual-slot cards in this class. Two additional PCIe x8 slots operating at 4 lanes each provide space for capture cards, network accelerators, or FPGA co-processors alongside the primary GPU. A fourth PCIe x8 slot is available as an alternative configuration when the primary x16 slot is not populated.
Connectivity includes 6× USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 Type-A, two software-switchable RS-232/422/485 serial ports, DisplayPort 1.4a, HDMI 2.0b, and audio I/O. The three Intel 2.5 GbE ports support simultaneous ingest from multiple IP cameras or edge devices while maintaining a separate management or uplink interface. An M.2 E-Key slot accommodates Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, and an M.2 B-Key slot supports WWAN/LTE modules for cellular connectivity.
The system runs Windows 10/11 IoT Enterprise, Windows 11 Pro, or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, providing compatibility with the major machine vision SDKs, robotics middleware (ROS 2), and NVIDIA CUDA/TensorRT development stacks. It is rated to operate from −20 °C to +60 °C and carries CE and FCC Class A certification.
WNAI-E800L — Expanded Chassis with AC Power and Higher GPU Headroom
The WNAI-E800L uses a slightly larger chassis (400 × 230 × 196 mm) to accommodate a standard ATX power supply with a 3-pin AC input (100–240 V) rated to 1200 W. The higher power envelope unlocks GPU options at the top of the NVIDIA RTX stack, specifically the RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell and RTX 5090 — cards that require more than 1000 W when the full CPU and peripheral draw is factored in. For deployments that are AC-mains-connected and require the maximum available VRAM and GPU compute, the WNAI-E800L is the appropriate platform.
The RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell brings up to 96 GB of GDDR7 ECC GPU memory, enabling large generative AI models, full-precision inference, and memory-intensive rendering workloads to run on a single card. The RTX 5090, with its 32 GB GDDR7 frame buffer and high FP32/FP16 throughput, is suited to multi-model parallel inference pipelines and high-resolution video analytics workloads where GPU memory bandwidth is the primary constraint. Either GPU option can be paired with the i9-14900T CPU (up to 5.5 GHz, optional upgrade) for maximum CPU-side preprocessing throughput.
The PCIe expansion layout mirrors the S model: one x16 primary GPU slot, two x8 slots at 4 lanes each, and one x8 alternative slot. The WNAI-E800L also includes TPM 2.0 for hardware-anchored secure boot and encryption, relevant for deployments subject to data security compliance requirements. The M.2 E-Key (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth) and M.2 B-Key (WWAN) slots are retained, and optional dual SATA III bays with RAID support are available for expanded local data storage. Operating system support is identical to the S model: Windows 10/11 IoT Enterprise, Windows 11 Pro, and Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
Deployment Scenarios
Multi-Camera Vision Server
Three 2.5 GbE ports ingest concurrent IP camera streams while the PCIe x16 GPU processes simultaneous object detection, tracking, and classification pipelines in real time. Additional PCIe slots accommodate hardware capture or frame-grabber cards for analog or CoaXPress sources.
WNAI-E800S / WNAI-E800LIndustrial Quality Inspection
High-resolution vision models running on NVIDIA TensorRT inspect products at line speed, with results fed back to PLCs via the RS-422/485 serial ports. The wide operating temperature range and robust metal enclosure suit integration into harsh factory environments.
WNAI-E800S / WNAI-E800LMobile & Vehicle-Mounted AI
The WNAI-E800S accepts 8–48 V DC directly from vehicle power buses, making it suitable for autonomous vehicles, mobile inspection platforms, port equipment, and mining machinery where AC power is unavailable.
WNAI-E800SRobotics & Autonomous Systems
SLAM, 3D perception, and motion planning workloads run on a single RTX GPU, with ROS 2 / Ubuntu 24.04 support out of the box. The additional PCIe x8 slots can host a real-time I/O card or EtherCAT controller for tight motion-control integration.
WNAI-E800S / WNAI-E800LAI Gateway & Edge Inference Node
Acting as a local inference hub, the system aggregates sensor and camera data from downstream devices via its Ethernet ports, runs classification or anomaly detection models locally, and forwards only actionable results upstream — reducing cloud bandwidth and latency.
WNAI-E800S / WNAI-E800LGenerative AI & Large Model Inference
The WNAI-E800L paired with an RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell (up to 96 GB GDDR7) supports large generative AI models and multimodal pipelines entirely on-device. Applications include automated visual inspection reporting, AI-assisted operator interfaces, and on-premise LLM deployment.
