A compact machine interface still needs network connections, serial communication and service access. NEXCOM brings these functions to two small display formats with the APPC 0760-A01 and APPC 1060-A01. Both use the Intel Processor N97 and combine the display, touchscreen and computer in a fanless unit.
The 10.1-inch version does more than enlarge the display. It also adds a second USB Type-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery, while the 7-inch version occupies less panel space.
Two Display Formats for Compact Operator Panels
The APPC 0760-A01 is the space-saving option. The APPC 1060-A01 provides more room for detailed operating screens. Their main mechanical and display differences are shown below.

Each display uses a ten-point projected capacitive touchscreen with 7H surface hardness. The zero-bezel front is rated IP65. Both standard configurations include 8 GB DDR5 in a single SO-DIMM socket.
2.5GbE, Serial Communication and USB Type-C
Two Intel I226-IT controllers provide separate 2.5GbE ports with Wake-on-LAN and PXE. The serial interface is a rear DB9 connector that can operate as RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 with automatic flow control.
The common interface set also includes two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, HDMI with output up to 4K at 30 Hz and a line output. The APPC 0760-A01 adds one USB 3.2 Type-C port.
Two USB 3.2 Type-C ports are available on the APPC 1060-A01. One supports DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery. This gives the larger Panel PC another display path and additional options for connecting compatible USB Type-C equipment.
Dedicated M.2 Slots for Storage and Wireless Modules
Three M.2 slots keep storage and communication functions separate. An M.2 2242 Key B slot with SATA 3.0 is reserved for the system SSD. A second Key B slot accepts 5G or LTE modules in the 2230, 3042 or 3052 formats, while an M.2 Key E slot accommodates a Wi-Fi module.
A nano-SIM holder and microSD slot are integrated on the mainboard. Storage and wireless communication can therefore be configured independently and used in parallel.
Installation and Operating Data
The flush front supports panel mounting. Wall, stand and VESA 75 mounting are also available. Power is supplied from 24 V DC with a tolerance of ±20 percent, and the systems support AT and ATX power modes.
The operating temperature range is −10 to +60 °C. Shock resistance for wall mounting is 20 g according to IEC 60068-2-27. TPM 2.0 is included, and supported operating systems comprise Windows 11, Windows 10 64 bit and Linux.
Selecting the Configuration
Display size and available panel space determine the basic model. The required storage, Wi-Fi or cellular connection, operating system and mounting accessories define the final configuration.
