The WGS-5225-8UP2SV is a managed Ethernet switch for heterogeneous RJ45 10/100/1000 Base-T LAN and 100/1000/2500 Base-X WAN networks, featuring numerous functions such as integrated power supply via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) up to 95 watts per port and 720 watts total power, as well as an LCD touchscreen for easy local configuration.


As a universal Ethernet switch for industrial and commercial environments, the WGS-5225-8UP2SV is designed for wall-mount installation and allows quick and clear integration via direct access through the front panel interfaces. Configuration can be performed either directly via the integrated LCD display with touch functionality, via an intuitive web interface, or remotely via SSH and Telnet. Native interfaces include eight LAN Base-T GbE ports and two additional connections for Base-X SFP fiber cables at 2.5 Gbps each, serving as uplinks and downlinks for redundant or distributed connections to remote networks.


In complex IT infrastructures, the WGS-5225-8UP2SV serves as a flexible Layer 3 gateway with total bandwidth up to 26 Gbps, enabling real-time data transfer even for demanding applications such as multiple video surveillance streams in 1080p Full HD to 4K or thin clients in offices. In addition to functioning as an Ethernet switch and RJ45-to-SFP converter, the WGS-5225-8UP2SV also provides power to external IP devices via PoE++ up to 95 watts per port in accordance with the 802.03bt standard, supporting a total power output of 720 watts for all devices. Reliable operation and integration into complex IT infrastructures are ensured by excellent performance and support for numerous standards such as Quality-of-Service (QoS), auto negotiation with full duplex, and bandwidth control for individual interfaces or the entire network.


The WGS-5225-8UP2SV is designed for continuous 24/7/365 operation in industrial and commercial environments and features dual power input and a wide temperature tolerance from -20°C to +70°C in productive use.
