IWF-310
Rugged Industrial WiFi EZ Access Point offers Dual RF WLAN, 5x RJ45 GbE, 12 VDC
The IWF 310, as a rugged industrial WiFi EZ access point, offers a simple way to provide wireless communication over WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n across large areas and in harsh environments via its dual RF radio transmitters, while also integrating wired devices into the network through multiple RJ45 LAN ports.
To ensure interference-free reception on both sides and broad compatibility with as many end devices as possible, the rugged industrial-grade WiFi router IWF 310 uses two separate access points with individual radio units. As a result, it not only supports multiple wireless standards that cannot or can only insufficiently be implemented in a single unit — it also provides a redundant WLAN network structure that ensures full functionality with a wide range of both older and newer client devices. The transmission power reaches up to -27 dB on both channels, and the maximum reception sensitivity, depending on the standard, is -94 dB.
For uplink to the central IT infrastructure and comprehensive networking with local LAN structures, the IWF 310 — despite its primary role as a WiFi access point — is equipped with a dedicated RJ45 port with gigabit Ethernet for uplink. This is complemented by four additional ports for local connections, which can be used for various IP devices such as additional wireless APs, cameras, or network nodes, or for redundant structures and topologies such as ring, tree, or star architectures. The maximum bandwidth is 300 Mbps for each individual dual RF wireless connection and 10/100/1000 Mbps on all wired LAN ports, ensuring reliable throughput even under high loads.
With its rugged industrial design, fanless construction, and wide operating temperature tolerance from -40° Celsius to +80° Celsius without active cooling, the IWF 310 meets essential requirements for industrial deployment. Compact wall mounting is also possible in semi-protected outdoor environments such as control cabinets, with maximum reception quality ensured by two externally connectable antennas. Due to its capabilities and technical features, the IWF 310 is well-suited for building powerful WLAN infrastructures under harsh conditions and is equally recommended for commercial uses such as MESH networks in public spaces.
