IECS-1116-DO
Industrial EtherCAT I/O Slave Module features Dual RJ45 LAN, 16 Channel Output, Rugged Design, 3750 VDC Isolation
The IECS-1116-DO is an industrial EtherCAT slave I/O module for setting up automated structures, combining a 16-bit wet/dry digital output with optical isolation and dual RJ45 LAN for redundant connection to SCADA or M2M EtherCAT master systems.
The IECS-1116-DO serves as an industrial EtherCAT I/O gateway that provides a robust solution for distributed high-speed automation systems with rapid installation and clear configuration for real-time monitoring of digital inputs. Via the EtherCAT protocol, the industrial module supports networks with up to 65,535 different devices, which can be networked in single or multiple redundant architectures such as tree, star, or ring topology. For seamless integration into SCADA and M2M environments, the IECS-1116-DO is compatible with various modes such as Distributed Clock (DC) or SyncManager.
As I/O, the IECS-1116-DO features dual BASE-TX Ethernet LAN, enabling redundant and branched connection to networks via RJ45 interfaces or daisy chain configuration in a linear bus system. The digital 16-channel output is accessible via a front terminal and allows clearly arranged and individually isolated wiring of actuators such as motors, relays, or external circuits. For maximum safety of connected IECS-1116-DO devices, all outputs feature electrical isolation up to 3.75 kilovolts VDC, protecting the automation system from voltage spikes or inductive surges.
The IECS-1116-DO uses a compact and rugged design that allows space-saving installation, for example via DIN rail mounting in harsh environments. For power supply, the EtherCAT I/O module tolerates a highly flexible input voltage from 9 VDC to 48 VDC to ensure maximum stability even under unstable power conditions. With a very wide temperature range from -40° Celsius to +75° Celsius, the IECS-1116-DO is also suitable for installation in outdoor and other extreme environments. Key areas of application for the rugged EtherCAT slave device include industrial and commercial process automation, as well as control systems in public spaces, such as traffic management.
