The ECAT-2718 is an industrial input/output module supporting the IO-Link protocol, designed for building distributed automation systems. The device operates as an EtherCAT slave and features flexible channel configuration, allowing the module to be adapted to specific system requirements.
Depending on the project needs, the module can be configured in several variants:
- 8 IO-Link channels and 8 digital inputs (DI);
- 16 digital inputs (DI);
- 8 digital inputs (DI) and 8 digital outputs (DO).
The module is housed in a rugged metal enclosure and is powered by 18–30 V DC, allowing it to be installed directly on equipment without the need for a separate control cabinet.
Using the ECAT-2718 simplifies the integration of sensors and actuators into EtherCAT networks, increases system flexibility, and enables expansion of the automation architecture without running a large number of cables to a central controller.
