ICP DAS has introduced two new protocol gateways GW-2492M and GW-2493M for connecting Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP devices to a BACnet/IP network. The gateways allow you to poll up to 600 Modbus registers of the DI, DO, AI and AO types, which, in turn, allows to integrate building automation systems, process control systems, heating, ventilation and lighting control systems.
Learn more about the BACnet protocol in our article: Overview of the BACnet protocol and gateways for industrial control system connecting
In a BACnet/IP network, the gateways act as a BACnet/IP Server and support up to 8 clients. From the Modbus side, GW-2492M acts as Modbus RTU Master, and GW-2493M acts as Modbus TCP Client. Both gateways allow polling up to 32 Modbus modules. The gateways are configured via a web browser.
