Axiomtek has presented the new AIE810-ONX-16GB computer, designed for a wide range of AI and analytics workloads. This system is a direct successor to the proven AIE800-904-FL model, featuring several significant improvements.
AIE810-ONX vs AIE800-904-FL
Key differences between the models:
CPU platform and performance:
- AIE800-904-FL is based on the NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX CPU, which provides performance of about 21 TOPS.
- AIE810-ONX-16GB: the new version comes with the latest high-performance NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX system, capable of processing up to 100 TOPS, which increases the efficiency of AI-based solutions.
GPU architecture and data processing:
- The AIE800-904-FL comes with a Volta architecture GPU with 384 cores. The AIE810-ONX-16GB, meanwhile, features the brand-new Ampere graphics, which now includes 1024 cores with Tensor Core support.
Expansion slots and wireless connectivity:
- The AIE800-904-FL model has only one slot for installing a wireless module, while the AIE810-ONX-16GB is equipped with three specialized slots for wireless cards, including 5G/LTE modules, Wi-Fi 6E.
Data storage system:
- By eliminating the internal eMMC memory, the new model is designed to accommodate an external NVMe SSD drive, providing the user with additional space and fault tolerance.
Power:
- The AIE800-904-FL operates on 100–240 VAC, requiring a dedicated power adapter.
- The AIE810-ONX-16GB has a universal 9–36 VDC power requirement, making installation easy.
Display:
- The new model's key difference from its predecessor is the placement of the internal HDMI port.
- Axiomtek has strived to make the AIE810-ONX-16GB as water- and dust-resistant as possible, allowing it to be placed outdoors without additional insulation.
Application:
- Smart city surveillance cameras
- Perimeter security for enterprises and strategic facilities
- Production process analysis
- Biometrics and facial identification
- Access control and parking systems
Thus, the main application area of the AIE810-ONX-16GB is its use in intelligent CCTV cameras installed in harsh environments and solving the problems of image analysis and video recording in real time.
