uPAC-7186EX Industrial Controller with 80MHz 80186 CPU, 512kB SRAM, 512kB Flash, 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet, Expansion Port, MiniOS7 The uPAC-7186EX Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) allows control of external devices with an autonomous, PC-compatible 80MHz processor via Serial COM interfaces and at the same time enables access and integration into networks via Ethernet LAN, resulting in a universal and versatile industrial controller for automation and SCADA applications. The Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) uPAC-7186EX uses an Intel 80186 architecture based CPU with a clock frequency of 80MHz and a 512kB SRAM. As permanent storage media, the industrial controller uses a 512kB Flash Memory, a 16kB EEPROM for firmware and a NVRAM with 31 bytes. Interfaces include a Serial COM RS232 and an RS485 port, 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet and an I/O Expansion Bus as an interface for more than 50 external boards with additional connectors such as GPIO or COM. The operating system of uPAC-7186EX consists of MiniOS7 designed for Programmable Automation Controller (PAC), which allows easy programming of custom applications via MiniOS7 framework and Modbus libraries. Communication takes place either directly via the interfaces or the Modbus protocol in a master/slave network. Typical tasks for the Industrial Controller include autonomous control and monitoring of sensors, circuits and actuators in industrial production or local autonomous automation.
