MiniBOT-Robot-Package
MiniBOT Robot Package features 6-axis robotic arm, Intel Quad Core Embedded System, 4GB DDR3 RAM, EtherCAT connectivity, 2x COM, 4x USB, LAN, GPIO The MiniBOT Robot Package is an optimized teaching, research and development environment that offers a 6-axis robot arm with a reach of 590 mm for loads up to 1 Kg. It is controlled via an embedded PC with Intel Celeron Quad Core CPU via the EtherCAT protocol and other interfaces such as Serial COM, GPIO and Ethernet LAN. The design of the robot of the MiniBOT Robot Package is based on industrial models for production. The concept serves as practical as possible implementation of the results on the similarly built units for productive operations. The arm has six motor-driven axles that can be positioned with an accuracy of 12 mm. The control modes are torque, position or speed, which can be combined with each other for special applications. The position is determined via a close-loop stepper with EtherCAT connection via which data and commands are transmitted in real time. As a controller, the MiniBOT Robot Package includes an embedded PC with high performance. It uses a Quad Core CPU Intel Celeron J1900 processor with 2.42 GHz clock speed and a 4 GB DDR3 RAM memory, in order to be able to execute complex applications like an additional optical control directly. The integrated HDD with 500 GB capacity offers sufficient storage space for numerous projects and extensive logging for debugging and analysis. Additional sensors and peripheral devices are integrated into the fanless embedded system in addition to EtherCAT via a 31-bit GPIO with 15 Channel DI and 16 Channel DO, two serial COM ports in RS232/422/485 and USB 3.0 as well as triple USB 2.0. Graphical output is also possible via DVI and DisplayPort and possibly Independent Dual View. The expansion via two Mini PCI Express ports allows additional interfaces, for example for wireless networks including WLAN 802.11, 3.5G UMTS or 4G LTE. For development, the MiniBOT Robot Package provides extensive automation software, including NexGRC Runtime for control, NexMotion Studio as a configuration tool, and C\C ++, C #, or VB.Net for user-side programming. The operating system used by the Embedded PC is Windows Embedded 7, which supports further IDEs for development. The MiniBOT Robot Package is suitable as a basic kit for training and teaching as well as an experimental environment where productive routines are developed and tested and special cases are simulated.
