Advantech has presented a new COM Express Type 6 compact CPU board line SOM-6820, which come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon X-Elite processor. Thanks to this, the SOM-6820 boards deliver high performance and provide 65% greater energy efficiency while consuming several times less power than competing platforms.
The new SOM-6820 series supports up to 64GB of LPDDR5x RAM and has up to 256GB of built-in UFS storage, delivering superior data processing performance.
The SOM-6820 offers the following input/output ports: 12x USB, 1x GLAN 100 Mbit/s, GPIO, SPI, COM. In addition, 2x SATA Gen3 and up to 8 PCI Express lines are available for connecting drives.
The SOM-6820 processor boards are compact in size — just 95 x 95 mm — and can operate in a wide temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. This makes them an optimal choice for ensuring high reliability with a fanless cooling system.
