High‑Performance Dual Band WLAN Solution

Built on the IEEE 802.11ax (Wi‑Fi 6) standard, the IAP‑1800AX delivers efficient, high‑speed wireless performance. It supports approximately 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1,201 Mbps on 5 GHz, with both bands operable simultaneously to maximize throughput.

Advanced Wi‑Fi 6 Technologies for Superior Connectivity

Designed for dense environments (airports, conference venues, public hotspots), the IAP‑1800AX incorporates the latest Wi‑Fi 6 features that improve capacity, lower latency and reduce congestion:

  • OFDMA — permits simultaneous uplink/downlink communication with multiple clients by allocating resource units (RUs), lowering latency and improving efficiency.
  • MU‑MIMO — enables concurrent data exchange with several devices to boost overall network throughput.
  • Beamforming — concentrates signal energy toward client devices to extend range and stabilize connections.
  • BSS Coloring — differentiates overlapping Basic Service Sets to reduce co‑channel interference.

Combined, these technologies help solve congestion in open workspaces and conference rooms while improving user experience and reducing cellular offload.

WPA3: Next‑Generation Wireless Security

The IAP‑1800AX supports WPA3, the latest Wi‑Fi security standard, which increases resistance to offline password‑guessing attacks and improves password‑based authentication. The appliance also supports WPA/WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise modes and Access Control Lists (ACLs) for granular access management.

Flexible Operation and Simplified Management

The unit supports multiple operating modes including Access Point and Gateway to fit various deployment scenarios. A step‑by‑step GUI configuration wizard simplifies initial setup, while a built‑in Wi‑Fi analyzer displays real‑time channel utilization to prevent overlap.

Operational convenience features include automatic transmission power control, distance management and scheduled reboots. For centralized administration, administrators can use PLANET NMS‑500 or NMS‑1000V to push profiles to multiple APs simultaneously.

Comprehensive Cybersecurity and Remote Management

To protect against modern threats, the IAP‑1800AX supports TLS 1.3 for encrypted sessions and SNMPv3 for authenticated management. The device can be administered via its Web UI or any SNMP‑based management software, enabling secure remote operation.

Engineered for industrial reliability, the IAP‑1800AX accepts a wide‑range dual DC input (9V–54V). A hardware failover mechanism automatically switches to the secondary power source if the primary input fails, ensuring uninterrupted uptime.
