Graphics cards have an extremely high computing speed compared to a conventional processor, which they achieve through very short signal paths, their own CPU with a dedicated memory as well as fast interfaces. For this purpose, the MEGA-3110 series provides an expansion slot in PCI Express x16 in combination with further slots for individualizing the hardware. Therefore, the MEGA-3110 series uses an LGA1151 socket as the primary computing unit, which supports Intel Core i3/i5/i7 CPU of the 8th and 9th generation Coffee Lake. Compatibility with different models from an Intel i3 Quad Core to Intel i7 Octa Core CPU in combination with banks for up to 64 GB DDR4 RAM allows high scalability of computing power and cost efficiency to adapt the MEGA-3110 series to its task and environment.
Universal native I/O for industry and data processing
The MEGA-3110 series features a rich selection of integrated interfaces to support various applications such as traditional production, Industry 4.0 smart factories, fast data processing for IT applications or applications of modern AI. Available expansion slots such as two slots for PCI Express x8 and x16 and optionally another PCIe x8 as well as four sockets for Mini PCIe (Mini Card) are thus available for further customization of the system. For peripheral devices with direct communication, the MEGA-3110 series offers, among other things, six serial COM ports RS232/422/485 with AutoFlow, six external USB 3.2 ports as well as an externally accessible 16-bit GPIO. The equipment with three individually configurable Ethernet Gigabit LAN also supports the parallel use of IP devices and complex, redundant or branched IT structures.
