CTC Union has expanded its industrial product lineup with the new IMC-1000S-PB — an unmanaged PoE media converter designed for mission-critical environments. This device bridges a Gigabit RJ45 copper interface and a 100/1000Base-X SFP fiber interface, providing reliable Ethernet-to-fiber conversion while powering remote devices via PoE.
Key to its versatility, the IMC-1000S-PB supports the full spectrum of PoE standards — IEEE 802.3af/at/bt — and can deliver up to 90 W of power to end devices, making it suitable for high-power applications such as industrial cameras, wireless access points, or other PoE-powered equipment.

Recognizing the demands of industrial, transportation, and utility deployments, the IMC-1000S-PB features a fanless, rugged metal housing (IP30) that supports a broad operating temperature range from –20 °C to +70 °C, ensuring stable performance under extreme environmental conditions.
The device also offers redundant DC power inputs with reverse-polarity and overload protection — a critical attribute for installations where power reliability and system resilience are crucial.
Moreover, functionalities such as Link Fault Pass Through (LFPT), selectable Store & Forward or Pass-Through mode, and configurable SFP speed via DIP switches provide network engineers with flexibility and control over traffic behavior.
