Durabook has announced significant updates to their fully rugged notebook Durabook Z14I-G2. The new model, called Durabook Z14I-G3, uses the latest Meteor Lake Intel Core Ultra series processors with built-in artificial intelligence NPU technologies designed specifically to support resource-intensive artificial intelligence applications for use in the field. Now the Durabook Z14I-G3 laptop is a powerful and productive computer with artificial intelligence, support for high-performance professional graphics NVIDIA RTX A500 and meeting the requirements of modern technologies.
Designed with end users in mind, Durabook Z14I-G3 is the ideal device for those who need a rugged notebook with exceptional performance and work in demanding operating conditions - such as specialists in geological exploration and research services, utilities, manufacturing, construction and public and government security enterprises.
Recognizing that operating environments are becoming increasingly challenging, Durabook offers the ideal combination of performance, ruggedness, safety and mobility through the following built-in features and patented technologies:
- Coolfinity fanless cooling improves reliability by eliminating the need for a cooling fan, which consumes energy and is also a potential point of failure due to dust and moisture ingress. This technology also allows you to increase the battery life to 12.5 hours from the main battery, and if you install an additional battery, the battery life increases to 21.5 hours. In addition, you can implement the hot-swappable battery function for non-stop operation.
- Certification for the most complex laboratory tests: certification according to MIL-STD-810H standard (vibration, shock, thermal shock, etc.). Resistant to drops from a height of 1.8 meters. The protection of the case from moisture and dust has also been increased. The newest Durabook Z14I-G3 model now has IP66 protection rate - at the moment this is the maximum level of protection for industrial laptops. In addition, the Durabook Z14I-G3 is now designed to operate in extreme temperatures from -29 to +63C.
The communication capabilities of the laptop have also undergone significant changes. A wide selection of the latest wired and wireless technologies ensures that users of the Durabook Z14I-G3 can quickly and easily access cloud services, transfer large amounts of data and use real-time bandwidth-intensive applications:
- Two Thunderbolt 4 ports
- Supports Intel Wi-Fi 7 with data transfer speeds 4.8 times faster than Wi-Fi 6E
- Supports Bluetooth V5.4 for wider range and more reliable connection
- Dual SIM support (Nano SIM and eSIM) and optional 4G LTE or 5G
- USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 Type A ports
- Two RJ-45 connectors, two serial ports, HDMI, VGA and ExpressCard 54
- Optional dedicated GPS receiver provides accurate location tracking and geographic apps
As before, the new Durabook Z14I-G3 comes with a 14" IPS display with patented DynaVue technology, to improve readability when working in direct sunlight, but the maximum display brightness has increased from 1000 nits to 1200 nits. In addition, like the previous Durabook Z14I-G2 version, the display is fitted with a capacitive touch panel with 10 touch points and four operating modes: glove, stylus, rain, finger.
The data storage system has also undergone significant changes. The Durabook Z14I-G3 notebook supports the simultaneous installation of two NVME PCIe drives in quick-release containers with support for RAID 0 and 1. In addition, as before, the laptop supports the installation of expansion units:
- Block with two PCIe slots
- Unit with discrete graphics NVIDIA RTX A500
- Server expansion unit with support for additional 4 NVME PCIe drives and RAID 0/1/5/10
- Expansion unit with M12 connectors for military use.
The newest Durabook Z14I-G3 laptop represents a new era in the development of secure solutions. The use of artificial intelligence will change the concept of a personal computer and provide users with greater opportunities.
