MGate EIP3170

Network gateway MGate EIP3170 ensures connection of programmable industrial controllers that operate over a DF1 protocol (e.g. Allen Bradley) to high speed Ethernet/IP networks. The device houses a serial port of RS-232/422 standard (DF1 Full Duplex protocol) and two Ethernet ports with Auto MDI/MDIX interface and one IP address. The model is provided in a fanless housing and is equipped with a redundant power input. It is certified for operation in harsh industrial conditions: C1D2, ATEX Zone 2. 1-port converter MGate EIP3170: description and features: simultaneous connection of up to 16 Ethernet/IP servers and clients with 16 requests from each. ProCOM secures the remote access via virtual COM-ports. Ethernet paths cascading allows integrating several gateways, so that a separate switch is not needed. This improves the network flexibility, topology options and reduces costs. COM-port rate: 1200 bit/s…921.6 Kbit/s. Pull high/low resistors ensure the stable signal. There are DIP switches on a bottom panel for the resistance manual regulation. Serial Redirector redirects the master-device commands on a given port. The simultaneous operation of Serial and Ethernet/IP Masters is available. The network architecture change or reconfiguration is not required. A Windows utility with a built-in protocol traffic analyzer (Ethernet/IP, DF1), keeps log journal, records all commands and responses, helps to define the reasons for fails and bottle neck problems. The dual power input secures uninterruptible power supply within a range of 12…48 V DC. The device is protected from vibrations, voltage spikes, static discharges and impulse interference. Dimensions: 29х89х119. Mean time between failures (MTBF) – 24 year.
