Unmanaged switch EDS-305-S-SC-T. MOXA's EDS-305-S-SC-T is an improved version of a basic model that operates in nearly any condition, thanks to its elaborate design features. Firstly, the switch houses 4 10/100 Base TX copper ports and one port of 100 Base FX type to transfer data at the distance of up to 40 km over single-mode optical fiber with great throughput and interference immunity. Secondly, the letter ‘T’ in the product name stands for the device capability of stable functioning at extreme temperatures ranged from -40 to +75 °С, whereas, a more robust metal chassis, a redundant power circuit, and a discrete output contribute to its uninterruptible operation. Network switch EDS-305-S-SC-T: description and features: There is minimum of dispersion and signal attenuation when transmitting data over single-mode fiber. Wave length: 1310 nm. Max TX: 0 dBm. Min TX: -5 dBm. Receiver sensitivity: -34 dBm. Optical budget: 29 dB. Dispersion penalty: -3 dBm. The device supports functions of direct and backward flow control (802.3x Flow Control, Back Pressure), speed auto negotiation and interface type auto detection (Auto MDI/MDI-X). UL/cUL Class I Division 2 and ATEX Zone 2 certificates allow you to use the switch in explosion hazardous conditions of oil and gas recovery industry, whereas, DNV and GL certificates enable its marine application. The industrial grade metal chassis that conforms to IP30 standard is compact in size (54х135х105) and protects the electronic components from drops, vibrations and shocks (МЭК-60068/IEC 60068). The device can be mounted either on a wall, or DIN-rail. The switch reliability is testified by fundamental mean time between failures (MTBF standard) that equals to about 50 years. Ethernet switch EDS-305-S-SC-T works in half-duplex and full-duplex communication modes. The optical port expands the opportunities of maintenance engineers and shall keep the remote network segments always connected. The input power supply unit is protected from reverse polarity and allows you to connect the switch to a network with voltage ranged from 12 to 48 V, whereas, the perfectly selected device components consume 4 W only.
