How to configure Turbo Ring with DIP switches?
Turbo Ring redundancy protocol can be quickly configured using DIP switches located on a switch body.

According to the switch default settings, Turbo Ring V2 protocol gets activated if the DIP switch 4 is set to the ON position. In the settings, you can change the default protocol version or disable DIP switches completely.

The default ports at configuring Turbo Ring with DIP switches:

Note: To set Master and Counter DIP switches in ON position, turn on Turbo Ring function first.
Note: If you do not assign any of the devices to be the Ring Master, the Turbo Ring protocol will automatically choose the switch with the smallest MAC address to be the Ring Master. If you accidentally assign more than one EDS-408A/405A devices to be the RingMaster, one of them will be automatically determined as the Ring Master.
Note: If the DIP switch 4 (Turbo Ring) is in ON position, you will not be able to disable the Turbo Ring DIP switch from a web interface, a console, or Telnet.
Note: If you want to enable VLAN and/or Port Trunking on any of the last four ports, do not use DIP switch 4 for Turbo Ring activation. In this case, you must use Web, Telnet, or a console.
