ioLogik E1200 series modules can be enhanced with support of EtherNet/IP protocol, once the device has been registered and activated. This article explains how to activate the EtherNet/IP support in ioLogik E1200 series. Remember, that EtherNet/IP function can be activated only after firmware and utility programs are updated up to the versions as follows:

To activate EtherNet/IP function, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Assign a folder for the license file

After ioSearch v1.15 is installed, a user must assign a folder for location of the license file. Press System – Options. In the popped out window click on the settings icon (the picture on the right) to assign a folder. Press OK button to complete the configuration.

Step 2: Specify the device serial number
Before beginning with the registration, locate the device serial number. The serial number is located on the label, as shown in the picture.

Step 4: Register your device at Moxa Software Licensing System
Press ioLogik E1200 EtherNet/IP link, to get onto the registration page. There are two ways of registration. To register one product, just enter the serial number. To register several products at a time, you will need to enter serial numbers in a special format. You can download a template for activation of several devices at the link below.


Step 5: Download the license file
Press Submit after entering the serial number. The system will generate a link, clicking which you can download the license file. Save the downloaded file in a folder that has been assigned at the step 1 and extract the file.


Step 6: Use ioSearch to search for ioLogik in the network
Connect ioLogik E1200 to a computer and find a device using ioSearch utility program. The information about the device will be displayed in a window.

Step 7: Activation of EtherNet/IP function
Right-click on the device and choose Activate EtherNet/IP. The ongoing activation process can be followed in a window, and ioSearch will inform you when the activation is completed.
