Brief description of the task
Create a modern and functional rack server for collecting, processing, storing and transmitting technological information. Main functions of the rack server must include:
- collection of analog and discrete information
- maintaining a database of events, trends and personnel actions
- time synchronization of APCS components
- integration with related subsystems (ASKUE, video surveillance, security and fire alarms, etc.)
- hot redundancy of PTC components
- testing and self-diagnostics of PTK components
- support for various types of communication channels (RS-485, optical, Ethernet, wireless networks)
Customer requirements
As a connecting computing element, the customer needed a rack computer that meets the following requirements:
- Availability of industrial components with a long service life
- Fanless 1U Chassis
- PRP protocol support
- Documentation
iROBO solution
The customer chose the iROBO-1000-10i2-PRP model, which comes in a 1U fanless steel case. The basis of the system is the 6th generation Intel Skylake processor. The PRP protocol is supported by an additional network card installed in the vertical PCIe x16 expansion slot. iROBO-1000-10i2-PRP supports Windows 7/8.1/10 and Linux installation. Documentation in Russian, including product passport, is included in the kit. The customer was provided with a sample for conducting control tests and obtaining the necessary certification within 3 months.
