VTC 7260-xC4 Automotive PC: Powerful for demanding AI applications

Contemporary telematics increasingly relies on sophisticated AI models and neural networks in addition to digital vehicle electronics and monitoring. Nexcom's VTC 7260-xC4 is an innovative vehicle PC that supports up to two Hailo AI accelerator cards as co-processors in addition to a powerful central processing unit (CPU). In addition to Triple Independent View, the fanless AI vehicle computer features a versatile input/output interface, including CAN bus, multiple PoE+ LAN ports and integrated modules for position detection sensors as well as positioning via GPS. Due to its fanless and rugged design, the VTC 7260-xC4 is also suitable for use in system and safety-critical environments.


Fanless AI vehicle PC with 11th generation Intel Core processor i5/i7

The VTC 7260-xC4 is available in two variants with 11th generation Intel Core processors "Tiger Lake" using either an i5-1145GRE with four cores and 4.10 GHz or an i7-1185GRE with 4.40 GHz clock speed. All models support up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM with ECC error correction and parallel access via Dual Channel. They offer the possibility to install up to three drives via a 2.5-inch drive bay as well as slots for mSATA in mPCIe and M.2 NVMe. Thus, the VTC 7260-xC4 proves to be comprehensively scalable and can be optimally adapted to individual conditions in different environments.

Extensive and versatile equipment with interfaces and sensors

The VTC 7260-xC4 was specially adapted to the requirements and conditions in vehicle construction when selecting the integrated I/O: In addition to universal USB connections, the interfaces include the industrially used serial COM RS232/422/485 interfaces, an electrically isolated CAN bus 2.0 A/B for communication with the vehicle electronics and an 8-bit GPIO for external sensors or circuits. In addition, the vehicle computer features native position determination using a U-blox GNSS module with optional Dead Reckoning (DR) function and a 3D gyroscope and accelerometer. Thanks to Gigabit Ethernet and four 2.5 GbE PoE+ ports for peripheral IP devices as well as optional WLAN, Bluetooth and WWAN support via dual SIM, the VTC 7260-xC4 offers extensive possibilities for mobile and local network connections.

Rugged, fanless design with slots for two AI cards

The VTC 7260-xC4 uses a fanless, rugged design that is certified for use in an extremely wide temperature range and for shock, vibration and jarring in accordance with MIL-STD-810G or higher. With two M.2 slots for Hailo AI cards, the embedded PC also enables neural network computation and AI applications with up to 52 TOPS. Due to its high native and optionally available performance, the VTC 7260-xC4 is suitable for computationally intensive processes, such as video surveillance, radar measurement in autonomous and IT-supported driving, but also for tasks such as infotainment and navigation, fleet management, intelligent traffic solutions or automation of logistics and industrial processes.
