nROK 7280

Nexcom has introduced four new computers of the nROK series, designed for use in the transportation sector and industrial applications. The new models are characterized by increased durability, adaptability to extreme conditions and excellent performance.
Performance:
All new models are based on Intel Core Ultra processors of the Meteor Lake H family, providing impressive computing power of up to 26 TOPS AI. For example, the nROK 7280-7WIC5IP configuration comes with an Intel Core Ultra 7-155H processor with a power consumption of only 28 W, while the less productive modification nROK 7280-5WIC5IP has an Intel Core Ultra 5-125H CPU.
Graphic capabilities:
The nROK 7280 platforms use modern Intel Arc graphics solutions with support for DirectX 12.2 and OpenGL 4.6 technologies and are equipped with one HDMI 2.0 output with a maximum resolution of (3840x2160) 60 Hz. This is especially relevant for applications with visualization of large amounts of data.
Ethernet:
All models of the new series provide the ability to connect five independent 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE++ support (IEEE 802.3bt).
Also an important aspect was the expansion of mobile communication capabilities: each model is capable of supporting the connection of up to two wireless networks WWAN and WLAN simultaneously, which significantly increases the efficiency of use as a transport gateway.
Data storage:
As for storage devices, the new products support the installation of 2.5-inch SSDs, Key B+M SSDs and NVMe SSDs (PCIe 4.0 x4). For example, the nROK 7280-7WIC5IP configuration comes with one M.2 Key M 2280 NVMe SSD slot, while the more affordable nROK 7280-5AC5IP has two slots for 2.5-inch drives.
Key features:
One of the key advantages of the new series is the integrated CAN Bus. These buses enable fast data transfer between various components and devices, which is especially important in the areas of automotive transport and automation of industrial processes.
Two CAN FD (Flexible Data Rate) lines with a throughput of up to 5 Mbit/s.
Compatibility with previous CAN 2.0A and CAN 2.0B standards.
Electrical insulation of lines up to 2.5 kV, preventing damage from electromagnetic interference and sudden voltage changes.
Another interesting feature is the built-in MEMS sensors (microelectromechanical sensors). The nROK 7280 series computers use motion sensors from STMicroelectronics, model LSM6DSLTR. Their key advantages include high resolution of acceleration and angular velocity measurements, minimal power consumption and a wide signal sampling frequency (from 12.5 Hz to 6.6 kHz). The use of MEMS sensors allows to improve the quality of navigation, automate data collection processes and provide precise positioning and control over the movement of a vehicle or equipment.
In addition, the features include operation in a wide temperature range from -40C to + 60C, which allows use in almost any climate zone of the planet.
Design:
The chassis of the computers is made of high-quality aluminum, resistant to corrosion and mechanical stress. The Full IP67 protection rating means absolute dust protection and waterproofness.
In terms of durability and operational stability, all nROK 7280 models come with specialized M12 connectors that can withstand vibration and shock in accordance with the requirements of MIL-STD-810H and EN 50155, EN 45545-2 standards.

In conclusion, it can be said that the new generation of nROK computers is designed to solve the most demanding tasks in the field of transport monitoring, train control and maintaining the safe operation of industrial enterprises. A high degree of readiness for the impact of external factors makes them indispensable tools for the reliable deployment of automated monitoring and control systems.
