PLANET has expanded its ITS‑6326 series lineup with the ITS‑6326‑16P2TB‑WV , a high-end, industrial Layer 3 managed switch designed to meet the rigorous demands of railway, transit, and heavy industrial environments. This model enhances network resilience with built‑in bypass relay functionality on its 10G uplink ports—ensuring seamless data flow even in power‑loss conditions.
Built to comply with EN50155, EN45545‑2, and IEC 61373 standards, the ITS‑6326‑16P2TB‑WVoperates reliably under extreme conditions, from –40 °C to +70 °C, withstands vibration and shock, and supports redundant DC inputs from 24V to 110V. Its rugged M12 connector design and IP‑rated housing ensure dependable operation in outdoor, mobile, or vibration‑prone settings.
This model features 16 M12 10/100/1000BASE‑T ports with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ support, each delivering up to 36 W. In addition, it includes 2 × 10GBASE‑T M12 uplink ports that support multiple speeds (1G, 2.5G, 5G, 10G). What sets it apart is the bypass relay capability on those uplinks: in a power outage, traffic will be automatically rerouted through the bypass, maintaining link continuity until the device recovers. The switch offers a non‑blocking 72 Gbps switch fabric to handle heavy traffic loads.
Beyond raw hardware, the ITS‑6326‑16P2TB‑WV is loaded with advanced network and management features. It supports IPv4/IPv6 dual stack, static routing, RIP v2, and OSPF v2/v3 for dynamic path management. Built‑in security includes SSHv2, TLS, SNMPv3, DHCP snooping, IP source guard, dynamic ARP inspection, 802.1x, and ACL rules.
Administrative control is available via Web GUI, console, Telnet, or SNMP, while ONVIF discovery, PoE scheduling, device alive checks, and remote reboot support make it ideal for surveillance or networked control systems. For industrial integration, it also supports Modbus TCP, IEEE 1588 PTP, and digital I/O for alarms and system monitoring.
With its blend of high-power PoE, fast uplinks, and bypass resilience, the ITS‑6326‑16P2TB‑WV is well-suited for mission-critical deployments where uptime is non-negotiable: onboard train networks, trackside communication systems, intelligent transportation, and industrial automation in demanding environments. As connectivity demands in these sectors continue to scale, this switch offers scalability, reliability, and the advanced intelligence required by modern infrastructures.
