The new PIO-D96U - Universal PCI, 96–channel Digital I/O Boards is the successor of PIO-D96. The main difference is using of more modern Universal PCI instead of PCI. PIO-D96U supports 3.3V/5V PCI and provides 96 TTL digital I/O channels. PIO-D96/D96U card consists of 12 8-bit bi-direction ports. All ports are configured as inputs upon power-up or reset. PIO-D96U has also Card ID switch and and pull-high/ pull-low resisters for DI on board.

The software of PIO-D96U and PIO-D96 is completely compatible. Thus, PIO-D96U is entirely compatible with PIO-D96 and does not require software modification. PIO-D96U functions under different operational systems: Linux, DOS, Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows XP 32-bit, Vista 32-bit, Windows 7 32-bit. It also has DLL Active X control and various language sample programs in Turbo C++, Borland C++, Microsoft C++, Visual C++, Borland Delphi, Borland C++ Builder, Visual Basic, C#.NET, Visual Basic.NET, LabVIEW to help customer to develop his own programes.
