Memory and graphics

The mainboard comes with two SO-DIMM slots for DDR5-4800/5200 RAM, with a total capacity of up to 64 GB. One of the key features of the CAPA561 is its advanced video subsystem, including five physical ports: two HDMI 1.4 ports, eDP, and two USB Type-C ports (with DisplayPort Alt Mode support).

Storage and expansion

Despite its ultra-small size, the CAPA561 offers an unprecedented selection of M.2 expansion slots, eliminating the need for bulky adapters:

  • M.2 Key M, 2280 format, with PCIe Gen4 x4 support for ultra-fast NVMe drives.
  • M.2 Key E, 2230 format, for Wi-Fi/Bluetooth wireless modules.
  • M.2 Key B, 3042/3052 format, with PCIe x1, USB 3.2 Gen2, and USB 2.0 support for 4G/5G modem integration.
  • One SATA 3.0 port is provided for standard drives.

Configuration variants

For flexible integration, Axiomtek offers four standard modifications, differing in the set of ports and cooling system:

  • CAPA561-LGA-3LH: three LAN ports version (one 1 Gbps port + two 2.5 Gbps ports) with passive cooling solution (Heatsink).
  • CAPA561-LGA-3LC: three LAN ports version (one 1 Gbps port + two 2.5 Gbps ports) with active cooling solution (Cooler).
  • CAPA561-LGA-2LH: two LANports version (one 1 Gbps port + one 2.5 Gbps port) with passive cooling solution (Heatsink).
  • CAPA561-LGA-2LC: two LANports version (one 1 Gbps port + one 2.5 Gbps port) with active cooling solution (Cooler).

Design and security

The motherboard is powered by a +12V DC supply via a 2x2-pin connector. A TPM 2.0 module is integrated for hardware-level data protection. The operating temperature range is -20°C to +70°C for versions with active cooling and up to +60°C for passive cooling solutions.

Axiomtek’s newest CAPA561 is a powerful tool for system integrators, enabling them to pack desktop PC performance into a 3.5-inch processor board. The combination of an LGA1700 socket, three M.2 slots, and 2.5GbE ports makes it a flagship in its segment.
