Quick and Easy Gigabit 802.3bt PoE++ Network Deployment

The PLANET POE-173S Gigabit 802.3bt Power over Ethernet splitter delivers Ethernet data and PoE power from an 802.3bt type-4 PoE++ PSE (Power Source Equipment) over a UTP cable. It features a selectable 12V, 19V, or 24V DC DIP switch, enabling up to 60-watt power output to non-PoE powered Ethernet devices. It supports passive 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet connections over distances up to 100 meters.

Versatile Applications

When paired with PLANET 802.3bt type-4 PoE++ switches or injectors, the POE-173S supports various network devices, including:

  • PTZ speed dome cameras
  • Thin clients
  • AIO (All-in-One) touch PCs
  • Remote digital signage displays
  • Non-PoE network devices requiring higher power
  • This device eliminates the need for power outlet proximity, reducing AC wiring costs and installation time.

    Innovative DC Power Output Voltage

    The POE-173S features an innovative 12V/19V/24V DIP switch on the front panel, allowing it to supply either 24V DC power to industrial equipment or 12V/19V DC power to common network devices, increasing application flexibility.

    802.3bt PoE++ Power over 4-pair UTP Cable

    Using IEEE 802.3bt standard cables, the POE-173S and 802.3bt type-4 PoE++ switches deliver power over all four pairs of standard Cat. 5e/6 Ethernet cabling, rather than the traditional 2-pair setup. This allows for ultra PoE power and data transmission.

    Environmentally-Friendly Design

    The POE-173S has a compact, metal housing with a ventilated, fanless design, ensuring noiseless operation. It operates reliably and stably without performance degradation, making the deployment of non-PoE equipment with constant power feeding quick and easy.

    Intelligent LED Power Indicator

    The POE-173S features advanced LED indicators that display the PoE power input from remote PSEs. Three LEDs indicate 30, 60, and 90 watts of PoE power input, allowing users to monitor and control the power output efficiently.
