ICOP Technology has introduced the NX8MP SMARC module, a compact and high-performance embedded computing solution designed for industrial automation, edge AI, and smart IoT applications. The module is based on the powerful NXP i.MX8M Plus processor and offers strong processing performance, AI acceleration, and rich connectivity in the SMARC 2.1 form factor.

High-Performance Processing

At the core of the NX8MP module is the NXP i.MX8M Plus SoC featuring four Arm Cortex-A53 cores up to 1.8 GHz and a Cortex-M7 real-time processor up to 800 MHz. This architecture allows efficient multitasking between application processing and real-time control tasks.

The platform also includes a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) delivering up to 2.3 TOPS, allowing developers to implement AI applications such as image recognition, machine vision, and predictive analytics directly at the edge.

Rich Multimedia and Connectivity

The NX8MP SMARC module supports a wide range of multimedia interfaces including HDMI, LVDS, MIPI-DSI, and MIPI-CSI, making it suitable for HMI systems, machine vision, and smart display solutions.

For connectivity and peripheral integration, the module provides dual Gigabit Ethernet, USB, PCIe, CAN, UART, SPI, and I²C interfaces. This flexibility allows easy integration with sensors, industrial equipment, and network infrastructure.

Industrial Reliability

Compliant with the SMARC 2.1 specification, the module enables easy system integration with compatible carrier boards. It is designed for reliable operation in demanding environments with an industrial temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
