There are two variants of new embedded board:
- EmCORE-i89M2-6822EQ - Intel Core i5-6442EQ 2.8 GHz, 4 streams, 4 cores
- EmCORE-i89M2-6442EQ - Intel Core i7-6822EQ 3.4 GHz, 8 threads, 4 cores
The new EmCORE-i89M2-6822EQ boards have 3.5 inch format and works on the 6th generation of Intel Core i5/i7 processors. Moreover, the novelty supports Intel Turbo Boost technology, which allows to increase the performance of the CPU. For RAM, the board has one DDR4 SO-DIMM connector with the ability to install up to 16 GB, without ECC support. To connect the drive the EmCORE-i89M2 has two ports SATA 3 and a single connector NGF M.2. Also on EmCORE-i89M2 are located: 2xLAN (1xIntel i219LM PCIe PHY, 1xIntel i210IT PCIe GbE), 6xUSB, 6xCOM (4xRS 232 and 2xRS 232/422/485), 1xMini-Card, 1x SIM, 8-bit software DIO port.
The EmCORE-i89M2-6822EQ runs on the integrated Intel HD Graphics 5x0 graphics chipset and supports two bi-channel 24-bit LVDS interfaces (one optional), one HDMI and one Display Port. The audio is realized through the controller Realtek ALC662 allowing to use three audio ports: Mic-in, Line-in, Line-out.
The new embedded processor boards EmCORE-i89M2-6822EQ from Arbor, support two operating systems: Windows 10 64-bit and Ubuntu. Novelty supports remote management using Intel Active Management Technology 11.0. Thanks to extended range of operating temperatures, the novelty can be used in extreme conditions, wh ere maximum reliability and fault tolerance are required.
