ICP DAS has introduced an EtherCAT module for absolute encoder control - ECAT-2074A.
ECAT-2074A has four independent channels capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy. This device supports two serial data interfaces: SSI (Serial Synchronous Interface) and BiSS-C (BiSS Continuous Mode), providing flexibility and versatility in information exchange.
In addition, the ECAT-2074A can operate at a maximum transmission frequency of 10 MHz and receiving data with a maximum data width of 48 bits (including error, warning and CRC bits in BiSS-C mode), which ensures reliable and accurate data transmission.
This device is equipped with automatic cable delay compensation function in BiSS-C mode, ensuring stable and efficient operation in various environments. It should also be noted that the ECAT-2074A allows the use of cables up to 70 meters long, providing flexibility in placement and connection of the device.
- Key features of the new model:
- Four channels, 48-bit absolute encoder master
- Transmission Interface: BISS-C, SSI
- Data encoding mode: binary, gray (Gray)
- The CRC generator polynomial can be customized, with a maximum value within CRC-8
- Support CRC bit inversion
- Maximum pulse transmission frequency: 10 MHz
- Simultaneous data acquisition from each channel
- EtherCAT:
- 2 x RJ-45
- Support for Free-Run and Distributed Clock (DC) operating modes
