In eleven different categories, 1461 participants from 51 countries applied for the Green Product Award again this year. The fanless mini PC, PrimeMini 5, from our partner Prime Computer in Switzerland came out on top in the "Work Environment, Established" category. Under the aspects of design, innovation and sustainability, the PrimeMini 5 was chosen as the best, already established work-environment product in this category.
The PrimeMini 5 was designed throughout as a true green IT product. The completely fanless design thanks to a heat-dissipating housing made of recycled aluminum and the use of particularly energy-efficient components not only make the PrimeMini 5 more fail-safe and durable than conventional home or office PCs, but also save power and ensure energy- and cost-efficient operation. This reduces CO2 emissions and conserves valuable resources.
Sacha Ghiglione, CEO of Prime Computer, says about winning the Green Product Award:
"We are exceptionally pleased and proud to have won the Green Product Award with the PrimeMini 5, especially because sustainability is the central feature of our products and our corporate philosophy."
Since 2013, the international Green Product Award has honored products and services that have excelled in the areas of innovation, sustainability and design to showcase environment-friendly innovations to the public. Elections are held in eleven categories: Work Environment, Architecture & Tiny Houses, Building Components, Interior & Lifestyle, Crafts, Consumer Goods, Material, Mobility, Children, Fashion and Sports.
