The use of an Intel Quad Core CPU and up to 8 GB expandable DDR3L RAM as main memory makes the MERA-2011 an efficient and powerful embedded PC. Due to its rugged design it operates fanless in a very wide temperature range even under adverse environmental conditions and provides numerous interfaces.
The Intel Celeron J1900 is a quad core processor developed for embedded devices and mobile computers, which operates with a clock frequency of 2.00 GHz as a base and up to 2.42 GHz in boost mode. As shared memory for calculations and the graphics, the MERA-2011 uses a DDR3L RAM expandable to 8 GB in a single low energy SO-DIMM module. For data storage and operating system, the embedded box PC offers three different options with a 2.5'' drive bay, M.2 SSD and Mini Card. The MERA-2011 is connected to the network via Dual GbE LAN as well as optional WWAN via two SIM cards and WiFi as well as Bluetooth over mPCIe wireless module. Cooling is purely passive and fanless and allows operation in a very wide temperature range from -40° to +70° Celsius. The tasks of the MERA-2011 embedded box PC can include automated production, IoT applications in networked IT infrastructures and technical monitoring as an H2M or M2M interface in plants and measuring stations.
