Nexcom Vehicle Mount Computers (VMC) are rugged all-in-one panel PCs designed for in-vehicle use, integrating compute, display, and I/O in a single, fanless enclosure. They are divided into 4 types based on display size: 12-inch, 10-inch, 8-inch, and 7-inch respectively. These units target logistics, fleet management, public transit and other transportation applications requiring real-time data processing and communication. For example, the 7″ VMC 1110 consolidates functions like data collection, location tracking, job dispatching, and vehicle diagnostics into one touch-screen device, replacing multiple standalone systems. This integration simplifies operations and boosts efficiency for mobile workforces in industries such as transportation, logistics and even police patrols. Nexcom’s VMCs typically feature very bright LCDs (often 1000 nits or more for sunlight readability), programmable function keys, and support for GNSS, Wi-Fi, LTE/5G, CAN and other connectivity. They are built for harsh environments: many models carry IP65 or IP54 front-panel ratings, wide temperature ranges, and MIL-STD vibration/shock tolerance, making them ideal as transport panel PCs in trucks, buses, forklifts, trains, and more.

Nexcom Vehicle Mount Computers 7-inch

The 7-inch VMC series comprises ultra-compact all-in-one units for space-constrained vehicles. These models (VMC 110/111, VMC 1100, VMC 1110) offer a 7″ 1024x600 resistive touch screen and are typically powered by energy efficient ARM or Intel Atom CPUs. They are front-IP54 rated, handling water splashes and dust on the screen side. For example, the VMC-1110 is a 7″ vehicle computer powered by a dual-core Intel Atom x7211RE, designed for vehicle tracking and dispatching in applications like container trucks and forklifts. These compact PCs include features like 5 programmable function keys, CAN bus support, GNSS, and a wide 9-36 V DC input. They run Linux or Android by default and offer rich I/O (multiple USB, serial, CAN, Ethernet ports, etc.) for connecting sensors and peripherals in vehicles. Overall, the 7″ VMC models are aimed at fleet management and logistic tasks where high mobility and durability are required.
