Wincomm has introduced the IP69K-certified and thus fully waterproof stainless steel WTC-8J0 box PC, which is equipped with an Intel Elkhart Lake processor and has extensive I/O interfaces to extend its use in cleanrooms, food processing, pharmaceutical and chemical production facilities and enable easy hygienic control. This fanless, rugged embedded box PC is designed with a wide voltage tolerance and 100% waterproofing on all six sides to prevent liquids or dust fr om entering the unit and potentially damaging the controller.
Stable data communication through reliable computing power
Executives are always looking for resilient devices that minimize maintenance costs. The WTC-8J0 is equipped with an Intel® Celeron® J6412 2.0 GHz (codename: Elkhart Lake (EHL), passmark: 3929, +43% compared to J3455) and up to 32 GB DDR4 RAM, and features a compact chassis. In addition, the TCC and TCN features reduce latency, increase compute efficiency, and improve IoT system design.
Highest protection with IP66/69K certified housing
The housing is made of 304 stainless steel with chromium treatment. It protects against oxidation, is resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, prevents the growth of bacteria and does not easily adhere to Öl or foreign substances. This makes it ideal for central kitchens, food processing, pharmaceutical applications and cleanrooms. With the M12 metal I/O connector and optional self-developed cable gland configuration, as well as the unique rugged PCB antenna, it offers complete waterproofing and convenient installation even wh ere space is limited.
Customizable COM and power connections
End users may use a COM interface device, such as a barcode scanner, that requires both COM and DC power from the PC through a single cable to function. With a serial connection, not all pins in the interface are used with a COM cable. Therefore, Wincomm customizes the mainboard and supplies the COM port with a 5V or 12V power supply.
Flexible options and adaptability
The WTC-8J0 is equipped with various I/O interfaces, including up to 4x USB2.0, 2x COM, 1x LAN and optional 2x external LAN (occupies one COM port). Perfectly suited for IoT solutions, it features an M.2 slot for both 5G/LTE and WiFi modules and a second M.2 PCIe Gen III storage slot for data backup. This promotes information monitoring and security, enabling remote management and thus reducing maintenance costs without on-site support.
