Wincomm has presented a new line of fanless medical panel computers based on 12th and 13th generation Intel Core i5/i7 (Raptor Lake) mobile processors.
Intel CPU and RAM
Wincomm based its selection of processors for its new series of medical panel computers on achieving maximum energy efficiency and power.
For this, Intel's Raptor Lake-U mobile CPUs were used, capable of offering up to 10 cores, of which only one or two will be productive, and the rest will be energy efficient. At the same time, the processor frequency reaches up to 5 GHz, and the TDP is only 15 Watts. In addition, all processors used in this series support Intel vPro technology. In this regard, this platform allows you to reduce the number of calls from technical specialists to user workstations, since most tasks with vPro can be solved remotely.

Wincomm medical panel computers come with the latest DDR5 RAM modules, supporting data transfer rates of 4800Mt/s. Computers equipped with 12th generation processors received expansion options up to 64 GB of RAM memory, and with 13th generation processors - up to 96 GB.
Chassis and P-cap technology
All panel computers in the WMP line have a plastic case with an antibacterial coating.
Antibacterial coating is materials and substances grouped on the surface of objects that limit or prevent the growth and reproduction of microorganisms.
The WMP series medical computers have IP65 front panel protection. Rear panel protection is determined by the selected configuration. The standard WMP IP0A configuration has IPx1 protection. If you require more effective protection against dust and splashes, then it is worth considering the WMP IP0P modification with rear panel protection IP54.
The touch screen of the WMP line uses P-cap technology and supports 10-point touch control.
In medicine, this technology reveals its full potential by working with any conductive input devices, such as a stylus, gloves or plastic card. Even if the glass is broken or scratched, it will still perform its function. P-cap is a more accurate technology compared to resistive sensor technology. For example, it is useful in plastic surgery, where maximum precision is required when preparing a particular operation.
The front panel of the WMP series contains hot keys and indicators:
- Battery indicator
- Button to turn the device power on and off
- Keys for adjusting sound volume
- Screen brightness adjustment button
- Display backlight setting button
- Button to turn on and off the 5-megapixel camera with autofocus (optional)
- One function key for individual settings
All WMP series devices have two speakers with a power of 2 to 3 W and an integrated microphone located on the bottom side of the chassis.
WMP series panel computers are fanless. An external heatsink is installed on the rear panel of the case. The cooling system is completely passive.
