Ariesys Technology Co., Ltd, one of the world's leading manufacturers of portable industrial computers, has resumed production of the ARL998 series of industrial notebooks with a battery compartment, called ARL998-B.
Like all Ariesys industrial notebooks, the ARL998-B series is made in an aluminum case with rubberized corners. Notebooks are equipped with a 17.3” matrix with anti-reflective coating and a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.
ARL998-B notebooks are equipped with the same industrial Mini-ITX board with 9th generation Intel Core i5-9500E processor, models with a pre-installed Intel Core i7-9700E processor are optionally available. In the basic version, the ARL998-B model is equipped with a large amount of 16GB of RAM. The memory is installed in two 260-pin SO-DIMM DDR4 slots. The maximum supported memory is up to 32GB.
The ARL998-B series has a wide range of I/O ports:

- 6x USB3.0
- 2x Gigabit Ethernet
- Line-In, Line-Out, Mic-In
Depending on the installed expansion card, the ARL998 series is available for order in the following versions:
- ARL998-B17WC with one PCIe x16 expansion slot
This variation of expansion slots allows you to choose the most convenient configuration for installing expansion cards.
To store information, a 240GB SSD drive is installed in the laptop. To expand your storage options, the laptop features a 2.5” quick-release drive bay and an M.2 storage slot.
The ARL998 series notebooks are powered by two 95Wh batteries with hot-swap support. Since the system is quite productive, the laptop can operate on batteries for up to 4 hours. Full charge time for two batteries is about 3.5 hours.
