Axiomtek company has been a leading international industrial equipment manufacturer for over 30 years. Continuously developing their products, the engineering team has added the new tBOX510-518-FL model range to the vehicle computer series. The new PCs are mainly geared towards the railway transport applications.

The tBOX510-518-FL embedded computer has a compact, durable alloy chassis that also acts as a heat sink for the entire system. The PC can withstand vibration and shock up to 5G, and has been tested according to international standards EN 50155, EN 61373 Category 1 Class B and MIL-STD-810G.

For ease of use, all interface ports are located on the front panel, which allows you to conveniently connect various equipment in a limited space.

At the moment the series includes two models tBOX510-518-FL-Cel-24-110MRDC and tBOX510-518-FL-i7-24-110MRDC based on Intel Celeron 3965U and Intel Core i7-7600U, respectively.

Also, there are expansion options through specialized embedded modules:

  • PIM900 with 4хRS-232/422/485 and 8-channel discrete input-output
  • PIM901T with 4xRS-232/422/485 and 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports

tBOX510-518 specification:

  • Intel Celeron 3965U or Core i7-7600U CPU
  • DDR4-2133 RAM, SODIMM, support up to 16GB
  • Integrated Intel HD Graphics 610 and 620
  • 1xVGA, 1xHDMI ports
  • I/O interfaces: 2xGigabit Ethernet, 2xUSB 2.0, 4xUSB 3.0, 1xRS-232/422/485
  • DIO I/O interface (4DI, 4DO)
  • Storage options: 1x2.5” SATA bay, 1xCFast slot
  • SIM card support
  • 2x mini PCI Express expansion slots

The tBOX510 series is perfect for use in rolling stock control systems, for example, in a communication system between a train and automated track equipment through the Driver Machine Interface (DMI) and Communications-based train control (CBTC) communication. This allows the train driver to receive up-to-date data on the control, monitoring and diagnostics of the train.

A particularly interesting feature of tBOX510-518-FL-Cel-24-110MRDC and tBOX510-518-FL-i7-24-110MRDC is protection from unexpected power outages. The PC will operate with a 10 ms power interruption, which complies with the requirements of EN 50155 S2.
