Both models are designed and created to solve a different range of tasks. WADE-8173-J6412 is mainly positioned as an ideal solution in combination of functionality + sufficient performance to create devices with an external power source. The 4-core Intel Celeron J6412 with a base frequency of 2.6GHz will successfully cope with most simple everyday tasks, and the use of an external power adapter will save space in the case and make the device “thin” and ergonomic. Ergonomics also includes the design of RAM slots: SO-DIMM DDR4-3200GHz "low profile" type with a maximum capacity of up to 32GB (two 16GB modules). The I/O interface selection includes the following:

  • HDMI and Display Port digital video interfaces
  • 2xGbE LAN network ports (Realtek controller RTL8111H)
  • USB ports: 1xUSB 2.0 and 3xUSB 3.2 Gen2

Optionally, WADE-8173-J6412 supports additional outputs using cables: 4xUSB 2.0, 1xRS232/422/485 and 5xRS232. For storage, a 1xSATA connector and an M.2 key slot M 2242/2260/2280 are used. To expand the functionality, there are M.2 key E, Mini PCIe and PCIe x1 slots. The power connector is made according to the DC Jack 12V direct current (DC) type.

Another novelty, the WADE-8213-Q670E CPU board, is designed to create high-performance and multifunctional, but nevertheless, compact industrial devices of desktop or rack type. The center of computational logic is the Intel Q670E chipset. The LGA1700 socket is only defined for use with Alder Lake 12th Generation Intel Core i3/i5/i7/i9/Pentium processors. Supported RAM - 5th generation DDR5-4800, two SO-DIMM slots, maximum capacity up to 64GB (two 32GB sticks). Compared to the previous mainboard based on Intel Celeron J6412, the WADE-8213-Q670E has more I/O ports, namely:

  • digital video interfaces HDMI and 3xDisplay Port
  • network ports 1xGbE LAN (Intel I210AT controller) and 1x2.5GbE LAN (Intel I225LM controller)
  • USB ports: 4xUSB 2.0, 1xUSB 3.2 Gen1, 2xUSB 3.2 Gen2 and 1xUSB 3.2 Gen2 Type C
  • 1xRS-232/422/485 port
  • Line In/Line Out audio jacks
  • 2xPS/2 ports for mouse and keyboard connection

Optionally, additional ports 3xRS-232, 1xRS-232/422/485, 2xUSB 2.0 and 2xUSB 3.2 Gen2 may be added. Also, the board has an internal soldered USB 3.2 Type A connector. 4xSATA ports are used for storage devices. In addition, it is possible to install an ultra-fast M.2 2242/2260/2280 NVMe format drive. Expansion slots are: M.2 key E 2230 for wireless modules and PCIe x16 Gen5 for various types of discrete cards. To connect the power supply, the processor board has a "classic" ATX 24-pin connector.

Both new models, WADE-8173-J6412 and WADE-8213-Q670E, are representatives of the first industrial boards of a new generation. The latest technologies, combined with industrial reliability, allow you to create devices that solve problems of varying complexity and remain relevant for many years. The manufacturer's declared mean time between failures (MTBF) of more than 100000 hours confirms the use of only the highest quality electronic components.
