PLANET ITS-6326 Series: Industrial Layer 3 Managed PoE Switches for Railway and Harsh Environments
The PLANET ITS-6326 Series introduces a new line of rugged Layer 3 Industrial Managed PoE Switches, purpose-built for railway systems and extreme industrial conditions. Designed with M12 X-coded connectors and Q-ODC fiber ports, these switches meet EN50155, EN45545-2, and IEC 61373 standards, ensuring reliable performance in high-vibration and temperature-intensive environments ranging from -40 to 70°C. Their robust metal enclosures, fanless design, and high resistance to electromagnetic interference make them ideal for deployment in rail, vehicles, and critical infrastructure.
High-Speed Networking with Layer 3 Intelligence
Equipped with dual-stack IPv4/IPv6 management, the ITS-6326 series features built-in OSPFv2 and RIP routing protocols, static VLAN routing, and high-performance Layer 2/Layer 4 switching with a non-blocking throughput of up to 112Gbps. Administrators can take advantage of four-speed 10G M12 ports (1G/2.5G/5G/10G) and two 10G Q-ODC fiber slots for high-bandwidth uplinks and long-distance fiber deployment. The switch architecture ensures wire-speed forwarding, even under heavy traffic loads.
Flexible Models for Scalable Deployment
The series includes three models tailored to different infrastructure needs:
- ITS-6326-16P2TB2XS-WV :16 PoE+ ports, 2 10G M12 ports, 2 Q-ODC fiber ports, and a bypass relay
- ITS-6326-16P2T2XS-WV : 16 PoE+ ports, 2 10G M12 ports, 2 Q-ODC fiber ports
- ITS-6326-8P10T2XS-WV : 8 PoE+ ports, 10 standard M12 ports, 2 10G M12 ports, 2 Q-ODC fiber ports
Each switch supports a 24~110V DC power input and offers various combinations of PoE and non-PoE ports using 8-pin M12 X-coded connectors.
Intelligent PoE Features and Extended Power Delivery
With a total 100-watt PoE budget, the ITS-6326 series easily supports power-hungry devices like PTZ cameras and high-throughput wireless access points. A built-in PoE scheduler enables timed power delivery, while the "Extend Mode" supports 20-watt PoE output over distances up to 250 meters per port—more than doubling the standard Ethernet limit.
The switch also supports PD Alive Check, a feature that automatically reboots non-responsive powered devices by cycling PoE, enhancing system uptime and reducing maintenance needs.
Redundancy and Failover with Bypass Relay
To ensure uninterrupted data flow in critical systems, select models feature a hardware-based bypass relay on two 10G ports. In the event of power loss, traffic continues flowing between upstream and downstream devices without interruption. Coupled with G.8032 ERPS, MSTP, and dual power input, the ITS-6326 ensures sub-10ms recovery and fault tolerance for time-sensitive industrial networks.
Secure and Centralized Network Management
Security is built into every layer of the ITS-6326 series. Support for SSHv2, TLS, SSL, DHCP Snooping, IP Source Guard, 802.1x authentication, and RADIUS/TACACS+ user management protects against unauthorized access and network threats. SNMPv3 further secures remote management via encryption.
PLANET's management solutions, including UNI-NMS, NMSViewerPro, and CloudViewerPro, enable centralized control of all deployed devices across multiple sites, eliminating the need for frequent on-site maintenance.
Designed for Surveillance and Industrial Automation
The ITS-6326 series is ONVIF-compatible, offering automatic IP camera detection and management via its GUI. Users can upload floor maps, monitor device status in real time, and reboot PoE cameras remotely. Integration with SCADA and HMI systems is made easy through Modbus TCP/IP, while IEEE 1588v2 and SyncE protocols support time synchronization for telecom-grade applications.
Built-in Digital Input/Output ports provide external alarm triggering and notification. For added visibility, SFP-DDM functionality allows administrators to monitor optical parameters such as laser bias current and voltage.
