Originally designed primarily for infotainment and video surveillance purposes, modern network digital signage players such as Nexcom's NDiS V1100 are expanding their application areas and increasingly taking on functions that once required specialized and costly embedded PCs. By providing a versatile choice of interfaces, powerful and efficient computing capacity, and a compact and robust design, the NDiS V1100 offers a wide range of applications. This includes public information and multimedia systems, health and care applications, and optical quality control in industrial production processes.
High performance due to Intel Core i5/i7 CPU with dedicated graphics
The NDiS V1100 uses the new 11th generation Intel Core i3/i5/7 CPU Tiger Lake, which is the first processor from the world's leading company to feature 10nm SuperFin lithography with a dedicated Intel Iris Xe Graphics GPU. This significantly increases the performance and enables, for example, the set-up as a multi-display system with 4K resolution for process management in real-time. Alternatively, it can be used as a co-processor for complex or time-critical calculations, for example in AI applications or neural networks. Unlike many industrial-embedded PCs, the NDiS V1100 has two memory slots for the main memory and thus supports up to 64 GB DDR4 RAM.
Grafische Ausgabe in 4K auf bis zu vier Displays
In the past, fanless embedded PCs were only able to connect a maximum of three displays simultaneously due to technical limitations. With the latest generation of the NDiS V1100, up to four connected or independent displays can now be operated in parallel, ensuring smooth and lag-free display even during computationally intensive tasks.
The Network Digital Signage Player features four HDMI ports that enable high compatibility in various setups and can be individually assigned and configured via the operating system. The exclusive use of HDMI ports not only ensures maximum compatibility with different displays but also facilitates the use of identical screens on a single embedded PC.
Higher flexibility than conventional network digital signage players
The high number of graphic outputs and the use of a dedicated graphics card open up a wide range of applications for the NDiS V1100, which is only possible for correspondingly modern and powerful digital signage PCs. These include, for example, IT-supported physiotherapy, motion analysis in amateur or competitive sports, or central process management in industry. Another advantage is centralized system control: With its support for touchscreen displays, the NDiS V1100 enables direct access to four 4K displays, saving additional embedded PCs, cables and hardware, as well as running costs.
