Axiomtek announces the mass production of a unique server mainboard IMB700.
The main feature of the new mainboard is its hardware architecture and the use of Intel Xeon Scalable Ice Lake processors. This is a new niche for Axiomtek as previously, there were no server boards of such a high level in the manufacturer's catalog. The entry of the IMB700 to the market, especially in the current difficult conditions of the global crisis of the component base, shows the manufacturer's confidence in its own strengths, growth opportunities, as well as the ability to achieve its goals. PC based on IMB700 board will enable high-performance solution for edge computing, neural networks, and artificial intelligence applications.
The IMB700 is based on Intel C621A server chipset. There is LGA4189 socket for a 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processor. RAM memory is supported in two formats: RDIMM and LRDIMM DDR4-3200 with ECC.
A separate graphics controller AST2510 is responsible for displaying the image through the VGA connector; this is a classic solution for the server segment of mainboards market. In addition to the standard expansion slots 3x PCIe x16 and 3x PCIe x8, an M.2 slot is worth mentioning, which is designed to install high-speed NVMe drives.
