The ICOP QEC-M-02 is a powerful EtherCAT MDevice, driven by the dual-core Vortex86EX2 processor. With two independent cores, it delivers exceptional real-time fieldbus communication and efficient handling of user applications — perfectly suited for demanding industrial environments.

Fast and Intuitive Development with 86Duino IDE

Designed to streamline development, the QEC-M-02 supports the 86Duino IDE — an industrial-grade, Arduino-like platform. Featuring EtherCAT APIs, graphical programming tools, and support for high-level C/C++ programming, it enables rapid application development, helping reduce hiring challenges and speeding up time to market. In addition to EtherCAT, the QEC-M-02 also supports Modbus, Ethernet TCP/IP, and CAN bus protocols, making it a versatile and comprehensive solution for industrial automation projects.

Real-Time Precision for Motion and I/O Control

Built for precision, the QEC-M-02 achieves a minimum synchronization cycle time of 125μs and maintains jitter times under 1μs. This makes it an ideal solution for applications requiring highly synchronized motion and I/O control. (Learn more: EtherCAT MDevice Benchmark.)

Rugged Storage, Reliable I/O, and Compact Versatility

To ensure system stability, the QEC-M-02 comes equipped with 2GB of industrial-grade SLC eMMC storage — ideal for operating system stability and efficient management of executable files, HMI images, and data uploads via the 86Duino IDE, all without impacting the master system’s performance.

For I/O capabilities, it features:

  • 16 isolated digital inputs and 16 isolated digital outputs, supporting both NPN and PNP configurations.
  • Input channels with isolation up to 2500 Vrms, and output channels with 1500 Vrms.
  • Output load voltages up to 60VDC, with a typical output current of 500mA per channel and a peak of 1000mA.
  • A safe operating frequency of up to 3000 Hz.

The QEC-M-02 also includes HDMI output (1280 x 720 x 256 resolution) and supports HMI development through LVGL and the 86HMI editor — providing excellent display options for visualization needs.

Flexible Connectivity and Robust Design

Offering a wide range of connectivity options, the QEC-M-02 includes EtherCAT, Gigabit LAN, USB, COM ports, HDMI output, a rotary switch, and a RUN/STOP switch. Off-the-shelf APIs simplify integration into existing or new automation systems.

Measuring just 107.45 x 49 x 77.31 mm and weighing 370g, the QEC-M-02 is designed for compact DIN-rail mounting. A sturdy Euroblock terminal ensures easy installation and reliable wiring.

It operates across harsh industrial conditions, supporting temperatures from -20°C to +70°C (with an optional extended range of -40°C to +85°C). Built-in monitoring for voltage, current, temperature, and startup time further enhances system reliability and performance.
