Axiomtek, one of the leading manufacturers of industrial automation products, has introduced an updated version of the embedded CAPA520 mainboard: the new CAPA561 CPU board supporting 12th/13th generation processors.
The CAPA561 board has a LGA1700 socket, which allows the use of various desktop CPUs from Intel Celeron to Intel Core i7 with a TDP of up to 15W. The use of 12th/13th generation processors made it possible to use higher-speed DDR5 memory with a frequency of 4800 MHz. The maximum supported RAM volume has increased to 64GB.
The new CAPA561 processor board now supports four independent displays via two HDMI ports and two DisplayPort ports via two USB3.2 type C ports. In addition, the mainboard has an eDP connector for connecting an embedded display. To provide communication functions, the motherboard supports two 2.5Gbit ports and one 1Gbit Ethernet port. In basic functionality, the CAPA561 CPU board has only one 2.5 Gbit Ethernet port and one 1 Gbit Ethernet port.
The storage system has also been upgraded. Depending on the system, either a standard 2.5” drive or an NVME M.2 2280 drive can be used as a storage device.
To expand communication capabilities, the CAPA561 processor board has with two M.2 slots key-E and key-B for installing Wi-Fi 6 and 5G wireless modules.
The new CPU board will be available for order at the beginning of the third quarter of 2024.
