Advantech has designed an affordable, compact and powerful computer specifically geared towards developing artificial intelligence applications. The new model was named AIR-101-S62A1.
PC is a turnkey hardware solution with integrated VEGA-330-02A1 vision processing unit based on two Intel Movidius Myraid X MA2485. In addition, the PC has quadcore Intel Atom x5-E3940 1.6GHz CPU, Intel HD Graphics 500 GPU, 8GB 1600MHz DDR3L RAM and 64GB Industrial SATA Slim SSD.
Advantech’s AIR-101-S62A1 industrial embedded PC features a fanless design and an aluminum chassis supporting DIN rail mounting. The computer offers a standard selection of I/O ports and is capable of operating in an ambient temperature of -20 to 55℃ under vibration, shock and power surges.
Front panel I/O interfaces include:
- 2 RS-232/422/485 ports with DB9 connectors
- 2 Gigabit LAN ports with RJ-45 connectors, Intel i210 controller
- 4 USB 3.0 ports, 2 HDMI 1.4 ports supporting up to 3840x2160@30Hz resolution
- Power button, HDD and power LED indicators
- 2 antenna holes
There are more I/O interfaces on the side of the chassis:
- 3-pin terminal block power connector for 12 to 28 VDC
- Mic-in and Audio-out
- 2 antenna holes
For data storage, there is a pre-installed 64 GB SATA Slim SSD. Also, one M.2 2230 A key (PCIe x1/USB 2.0) slot is available for wireless communication modules Wi-Fi, 3G/4G or a second VEGA-320-01A1 VPU module installation.
The chassis of AIR-101-S62A1 is fairly compact with dimensions of just 158x114x53.5 mm, fitting easily in the palm of your hand. And thanks to the various mounting options, it is easy to install in almost any confined space.
AIR-101-S62A1 supports Windows 10 and Linux Ubuntu 16.04 LTS operating systems.
